It has been a rough couple of weeks to be a former Michigan State Receiver...

We have all heard the story of how former Spartan WR Plaxico Burress accidently shot himself in the leg at a NYC nightclub. He was arrested and charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

In early December former Spartan WR (and Detroit Lion #1 pick) Charles Rogers landed on the Oakland County Most Wanted List before was caught and jailed, charged with domestic assault and battery. Charles pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of trespassing and was sentenced to probation and partial confinement. He was also charged with violating probation by taking unauthorized leave from confinement and testing positive for narcotics. (HT: Michigan Against the World)

Then in late December, former Spartan WR Andre Rison was arrested for public intoxication at a San Antonio hotel. Police were called by the hotel staff and he was briefly detained because of the disturbance in the hotel's lobby.

And then finally this week, former Spartan WR Mark Ingram was arrested on Friday in a Flint hotel, nearly a month after he disappeared as he was scheduled to begin serving a prison sentence for bank fraud and money laundering. Ingram, has been in and out of jail since his playing career ended in 1996, pleaded guilty in 2005 to cashing counterfeit checks and laundering money he believed to be proceeds from narcotics deals.

If I were Devin Thomas, Derrick Mason, or Courtney Hawkins I would watch myself very closely.
